Minsk State Linguistic University (MSLU) is a recognized leader in the field of linguistic education in Belarus. It was established in 1948.
Today, MSLU provides professional training in 23 languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, Turkish, Korean, Swedish, Polish, Lithuanian, Czech, Dutch, Farsi, Urdu, Hebrew, Portuguese, Hungarian, Finnish, Russian and Belarusian.
MSLU comprises six major schools: School of English, School of German, School of Romance languages (division of French, Spanish), School of Chinese Language and Culture, School of Translation and Interpreting, School of Intercultural Communication:
MSLU offers six academic majors: interpreting and translation, foreign language teaching, information support, public relations, international economic relations, and international tourism. The University also offers eighteen specializations, including world literature, literary translation, technical translation, simultaneous interpreting, Russian as a foreign language, communication technologies in business, and others.
International students can also take long or short-term courses in Russian or Belarusian, as well as a preparatory Russian course.
