The Belarusian State Economic University (BSEU) was founded in 1933 and today is one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in Belarus. The high quality of education is confirmed by the fact that BSEU has been awarded the official status of the leading educational institution in the field of training economic personnel.
The infrastructure of BSEU consists of 11 faculties, the Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Economic Staff, the Institute of Master Training, branches: Minsk Trade College, Minsk Financial and Economic College, Novogrudok Trade and Economic College; library, student campus, sports and trade complexes. The university has special structural divisions which provide assistance and comprehensive support to foreign students. The campus of BSEU consists of 9 student dormitories, where each international student is guaranteed a place, comfortable living conditions for students are created and are located close to the university.
The University offers a wide range of educational services for foreign nationals: preparatory department, Russian and English language courses; training at higher education levels 1 and 2; postgraduate studies, postgraduate studies, internships. Training is possible in Russian and English languages.
Students have an interesting and busy extracurricular life. For this purpose the university is equipped with sports and exercise rooms, outdoor sports grounds. Aerobics, wrestling, table tennis and a swimming pool are open to the public in the sports complex of BSEU. Special attention is paid to development of students' creative potential. Inter-faculty and inter-university contests and festivals and amateur talent shows are held annually.
BSEU does not stand still - the university management is trying to keep up with the times in order to meet the demands of the financial sector and the real economy. There are 10 scientific and pedagogical schools under the guidance of famous scientists. Three journals and a collection of scientific works are published, which are included in the list of scientific publications of the Republic of Belarus for publishing the results of dissertational research. The student research centre "Business Incubator of BSEU" was established to support innovative activity of students and implementation of the best scientific projects and ideas.

The University is actively involved in international cooperation. The university is a member of international organisations and associations. Today BSEU has more than 140 agreements and contracts on cooperation with higher education institutions, research and educational organizations from 23 countries.
BSEU has double-diploma programs with the Irkutsk National Research Technical University (Russian Federation), Mittweid High School (University of Applied Sciences, Germany), Polytechnic Institute of Braganza (Portugal) and University of Cagliari (Italy).
Dense and friendly cooperation is carried out with universities and organizations in China. The University also cooperates with the TECF (The Foundation for Educational Support and Talent Development).
The university pays much attention to development of the Belarusian-Chinese dialogue, creates conditions for comfortable and interesting stay of Chinese citizens within the university walls. The Confucius Office of BSEU attracts volunteers to help Belarusian students to learn Chinese and to immerse themselves in the culture of China. Students and teachers of the university take an active part in numerous events held by Confucius Institutes in Minsk - holidays, conferences and creative contests. The Centre for Belarusian-Chinese dialogue research in economy and culture at BSEU creates conditions for involving Belarusian and Chinese students into the process of studying the development trends of Belarus and China. The Lu Ban Workshop at BSEU is in the process of creation.
